Belel electrified!

Part of the reason I’ve been dark for the past year. I’ve been supporting nxtgrid with site analysis and early grid transmission designs, along with full time job, so super happy to see this project have a real-life end point with plenty of room to grow. In total for Belel, at least 400 people will be getting power for the first time 🎉. Video in the link.

” Belel, Adamawa State, is now powered by the latest #solar #minigrid installed by Stanley Vandu‘s VAYA Energy Solutions with NXT Grid‘s support. This 100 kWp grid is located on the border with Cameroon, making it both a revolutionary and a huge milestone to achieve clean energy access in Nigeria.
We can’t wait to see what more we can do supporting more developers in building new mini-grids! “

PCBs, upgrades, and big updates coming

An archived project’s data will be releasable soon and I can share way more data about a ton of stuff I learned from it, hopefully out by end of October I’ll be hosting a workshop for the Work on Climate community about developing technical skills that wraps up a lot of what I’ve learned over the past few years.

Separately I’ve been working with the new Flux Io community to upgrade and convert some older designs to PCB. You can find videos of that process here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFmTNecBXd8 and the open design file for the board here https://docs.flux.ai/
